Jose Pantoja
Intake & Engagement Coordinator
Jose was born in Athens, GA, and spent the first few years of his life here before moving to Guanajuato, Mexico, where he stayed until he was 12. When he moved back to the United States, he didn’t know any English and found it difficult to communicate with others at school. While it was difficult, he overcame the language barrier and had a great high school career at Clarke Central High School, where he was honored with the Veteran of Foreign Wars Award for his time in the ROTC. However, the experience stuck with him. Because he knows all too well what it’s like not to be able to communicate with those around you, you’ll often find him volunteering in the community as an interpreter or translator for others who need help.
Helping others is second nature for Jose. When asked, he said his favorite part of being our Intake and Engagement Coordinator is being able to help our clients in moments of pain and despair. The aftermath of their accidents may involve physical pain, emotional trauma, financial loss, changes in their working environment and more. “They come to us to help with issues they don’t want to face alone. Being able to assure them that they are not alone and that our team will fight tirelessly for them is a great feeling.”
When Jose’s not working, he loves to travel with his fiancé. He’s also passionate about collecting and learning about Aztec Antiques and different cultures.
